Connect. Create. Cultivate.
What’s in store for SCTA in 2024…
Annual Gala- June 22 at Drayton Hall Theatre on USC camp in Columbia
Annual Convention hosted by Claflin U & SCSU in Orangeburg, SC - November 7-10
At the Board Summit, the SCTA Board of Officers developed the following statement for Equality, Diversity, Inclusion, and Accessibility:
South Carolina Theatre Association is a diverse community including, but not limited to, race, ethnicity and national origins, gender and gender identity, sexuality, disability status, class, age, and religious beliefs. SCTA commits to connecting theater practitioners of diverse backgrounds, empowering them to create inclusive art, and cultivating a community that celebrates all voices and lived experiences. We understand that systems that perpetuate systemic privilege and power were not constructed overnight, nor will they be easily dismantled. The above commitments represent only the first step toward anti-oppression practices. This is a living document and will be revisited on a regular basis.
