All three playwrights have won a free year’s membership to Play Submission Helper www.playsubmissionshelper.com

Auditions will be held on the Furman campus, Saturday, November 4th from 8:30-10:00 AM in the Daniel Music Bldg. Recital Hall for actors/readers of the winning scripts. Directors are: Joe Timmons, Leah Wren, and Cary Dole.

Staged reading will be held on Sunday, November 5th at 2:30 PM in the Daniel Music Bldg. Recital Hall with Furman’s Playwright in Residence, Randall David Cook facilitating the discussion of the works.

Deadline for the 2023 Festival has passed. Thank to all those who have submitted their work.

As part of the SC Theatre Association Convention, the 10 Minute Playworks Festival is a vital part of cultivating new theatre work.  The request for playwrights to submit their 10-Minute scripts will open again July 1 for the 2024 festival. A Review Panel will choose three to five quality scripts to be staged by a director and auditioned actors during the convention.

Here are the Details:

• Fee for submission:  FREE for the first two submissions by a SCTA Member,$15 per additional script. $20 for non-members

• Deadline to submit scripts electronically: October 1

• Announcement of scripts to be staged: October 21

• Winning Playwrights will given

• Convention Dates: November 2024 at Claflin University in Orangeburg, SC

• 10-Minute Plays performed on Sunday of the Convention
